A Few Words About Us

"Our children are the future. They must be nurtured, loved and respected. The responsibility is ours."

Our mission is simple. YFCF provides young fathers under the age of 24 years old, with supportive, community-based resources to assist them to actively participate in the lives of their children and families in order to strengthen their communities. In particular, our goal is to reach those young fathers who are ignored, isolated and have no relible support system.

Fatherhood is a blessing that matters.

We have put together 5 very focused programs that provide these young fathers with the tools and resources they need to grow into responsible individuals.

"It has been an honor and privilege to work with YFCF. As a Young father myself I know firsthand the difficulty in raising a child at a young age and without proper support and guidance I would have been lost. Being a Father has been one of the greatest joys of my life and I want to make sure others can experience this joy. It is now my responsibility to make sure support is there for the next generation of young fathers.

The first time I heard about the program in 2007 I knew I had to find a way to help and I have been involved ever since. My wish is to make YFCF so successful in healing and helping families that it eventually becomes unnecessary. Until that time I will be striving to reach that goal."

"Parenting is not a subject that was taught to me growing up and now that I am still growing up, it's even harder to find support and just basic information to get through these tough years. YFCF provides me with the ongoing support and resources to give me a fighting start so that I can make sure I give my son the chance he deserves."
